Gregory was born January 1, 1958 to Bobbie Jean Royall in Lake Charles, LA. Raised in Lake Charles, he attended W.O. Boston High. An avid fisherman, he loved spending time fishing with family and friends. Not only was he a fine fisherman and craftsmen, he was also quite a skilled artist. He made a name for himself as one of the best ice sculptors Lake Charles has ever known. From elegant swans, to detailed flowers, baskets, vases, cakes and even plates, City Club of Lake Charles patrons admired Chef Greg's creations for years. All over Southwest Louisiana, he was known form his gift of cooking specializing in French, Cajun, and Lebanese cuisine and especially soulf food. He worked at St. Patrick's and Memorial Hospital's where he shared his gift by cooking healthy food for the sick. He always felt his skills were well applied aiding the sick in recovering their health.
Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Royall Lofton; stepdad, Floyd Lofton; brother, Kevin Royall and Marcus Royall.
He leaves to grieve his daughter, Alisha Guy; four grandchildren, Sondra Guy, Marquez Guy, Jacory Guy, and Adrian Guy; two brothers, Damion (Monica) Lofton and Terry Lofton; one sister, Audrey (Perry) Journet; sister in law, Amanda Harris Royall and best friend, Travenus Strong along with a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
